    ... had trout, which took rather a long time coming out. Judging by the waitress's mimed explanation, the kitchen may have been gutting it while I was already elbow deep in my pasta. Rosemary said it ended up being really, really good. I appreciated being able to see the horizon more than I would have appreciated a freshly caught fish.

    ... because we only had 30 minutes to eat our lunch and use the bathrooms. Lunch was brought by a family from the town of Shipka, and we had chosen a couple of days ago what we wanted. My sandwich, which was enormous, was chicken with peppers, pickles, and french fries (inside the sandwich), and there were grapes, Fanta, and a chocolate dessert thing. Very good and very filling. We had to eat in the bus because it suddenly started to pour.

    ... were here too. Most were women and they were consuming quantities of junk food despite it being so early in the day. Smoking was also common. A refreshing change was the lack of the selfie stick and selfie culture. In fact we’ve noticed that the mobile phones are not as visible here. Most of the beach consists of fine brown sand but there are patches with fine black sand (possibly ilmenite). It has reputed therapeutic benefits.

    ... least the beer was good. Someone then had a „great“ idea to get rakia. I was done after the first shot, but the boys looked like they liked it for some reason.
    Leaving the town right before midnight, they got a bottle of rakia, I got a bottle of gin and we spent 3 more hours sitting on the beach, smoking shisha, playing drinking games. Of course they drank the whole bottle. Do I even need to say I had to drive the next ...
