Today the Christmas box team took the highway East 250 miles to Burgas to begin our distributions. On the way, we stopped to see our old friend Marianna Dimitrova, who is an ex-pupil of Lipnitsa Orphanage/School. The Trussell Trust worked together with Mr Petkov, Lipnitsa's headteacher, to help Marianna escape an abusive family situation. ... in town was ok, but not the best beach. It also got fairly cold in the evenings, so the beach window was limited. The first beach we tried was nice, but the water was full of seaweed which was gross. The next beach was much cleaner. Unfortunately though, everyone smokes so the beach is just covered with cigarette butts. A bit gross. We did have a few nice days relaxing on the beach though.
