August 3rdMade an early start from the Ile de Glenans 8.15am as the seas were flat and little wind unfortunately not enough wind to sail so motoring again not what we enjoy but we need to move south as quickly as possible. Breakfast on the move, toast with homemade bread, jam and marmalade and a cuppa sun out lovely start to the day. David put the line over to see if he could catch our tea...... No luckWe were finally able to get the main sail up about 1.15pm but still ...

Apparently over 3000 stones in the alignments, great rows of them for miles with nobody really sure of what or when they were placed there. There are roads all through them and houses bordering them and some debate as to whether they are all where they originally were, or all there. After more photos, (none of them on ...

Sunrise on the ramparts and the Elven Towers

... out over the forest around, way above the tops of huge oak and pine trees. There was a room where Henry VII of England was kept prisoner for 18 months - under a different name, and 10 years before he became king. It's only been sold twice in its history, to the current owners family in 1686!

The second tower wasn't open to the public, it was more recently restored, had windows and a roof, but there was no information about it. We walked around ...
