Long day of travelling today. Set off around 10. Travelled thru Belgium & the Netherlands before arriving in Germany. Only 3 stops required ('mum I need a wee, dad I need a poo, We're HUNGRY!!'). Went out for tea at the campsite across the roads' restaurant and got soaked in a thunder storm. Looking forward to a busy day at Playmobile land tomorrow. Fingers crossed for better weather ☀ ...

Silvana is a good friend of mine, whom I first met travelling around New Zealand a couple of years ago. We managed to keep in contact and its always great to catch up with her. She insisted on driving us into Frankfurt. We avoided any traffic chaos and as we were driving in, Steffie spotted a famous Underground (U-Bahn) entry made to look like a wrecked train. Recent increase price of airfare to Europe prevents many people from traveling. That is understandable. As a member of frequent flyer from United, I was able to redeem the miles to Central Europe with Lufthansa. Obviously, it saved me more cash! I check-in before but so many empty seats at the back rear of the plane so have a row all by myself. Odd considering the peak of summer ...

... started walking towards Geothe Turm, (Geothe was a German author and turm means tower), while Tante Gitta took Rachel in her car. Onkel Johannes, Rachel, Dad and I climbed the tower and looked out over Frankfurt. It was BEAUTIFUL. Rachel, Mom and I went in a maze and then we all headed back to my great aunt and uncle's house. We had dinner and talked a lot and then Mom and Dad took me back to our hotel. (Rachel wanted to stay at the house). Good afternoon to you all.
