Memphis, Tennessee, United States pamericas... from a weekend hunting trip to Arkansas. The men had a little too much Jack Daniel's Tennessee sippin' whiskey, and thought it would be funny to place some of their live duck decoys (it was legal then for hunters to use live decoys) in the beautiful Peabody fountain.
Three small English call ducks were selected as "guinea pigs," and the reaction was nothing short of enthusiastic. Soon, five North American Mallard ducks would replace the original ducks.

"Now my choice is what i choose to do and if I'm causing no harm why should it bother you?
Your choice is who you choose to be and if you're causing no harm then you're alright with me"
I think I'm attaching a picture I just took of Ryan filming while Christa is driving. He went to film school and sets his camera uptop the bed ...
...Richard Powney has left the country.
I dropped him off at Dulles airport yesterday and did my usual thing of legging it as quick as I could. I don't like airports. You always have to say goodbye to people that you don't want to have to say goodbye to.
Anyway, his stay has been brilliant and it's flown by. I think that's a good thing. We've had lots of beers, booze and brewskies and the odd bit of food here and there too ...
... allowed to touch and sing into it just like the legends, cool! So we can now proudly say we touched Bono's mike, oh yeah it was Elvis's too.
We've got to keep this train moving if we hope to see all the states before the end of the Millenia so eastward we go to Nashville, Tennessee.
We hope you are all well. Love and Peace, the 'all shook up', Bek and Jesse Train.
... to this moment, I really can’t say I understand why we were treated so poorly. Is it because we look like the dirty hippie type? Or are we just damn Yankees? I just couldn’t say. Nevertheless it was a humbling experience. I'm not the first to be refused service, and I certainly won’t be the last. Through this bizarre happenstance, I am reminded to not always feel such a sense of entitlement, even in the most mundane of tasks.

... only busy place we walked through was a park with a stage where people were busy doing 'I don't know what' and a lonely musician scratching his guitar. The various paths were lined with groups of people chatting and killing time. Every now and then we were greeted with a "How y'all doing?" or by smiles or hellos: friendly people.
Memphis, Tennessee, United States averynet... John Buchanan, headed that Gallery years ago, and his wife personally escorted them about: the DeYoung, the Legion of Honor MOMA--many more than this gentleman seemed to appreciate, though he loved the trip to Napa for a wine-y lunch. I was a bit daunted by the monied get-up of the group in the boarding lounge , and so many of them, but now that we're on the ground, Memphis looks like any other city, people of all types. Our hotel is a couple of ...
Memphis, Tennessee, United States lrandal... They told of how to recognise a tick, how to prevent infestation and what to do if bitten! 2 diseases can be transmitted, The American dog tick can carry Rocky Mountain Spotted fever and others carry Lymes disease. The leaflet described the symptoms, which of course, Hazel immediately started feeling, headache, fever, aches and pains. Etc. We had wanted to go off into the backwoods on trails, but now to avoid ticks, we avoided trails. We were told that mowed ...
Memphis, Tennessee, United States maxandpaddy... an important center of the American Civil Rights movement.
LDS Church history in Memphis began in early 1835 when a young Wilford Woodruff became the first LDS missionary to visit the city. In the face of local opposition, the Church grew slowly and consisted of a single small branch meeting in a converted house as recently as forty years ago. Since that time, however, it has grown to two stakes, and the Memphis Temple was dedicated April 23, 2000.
