... to stay, and instead headed to the Weihnachtsmarkt (Christmas Market) here in Lüdenscheid. I tried my first Glühwein (German mulled wine) and ate a Bratwurst, and it was all very pretty and Christmassy!

The rest of the week was spent cleaning my flat and getting things ready for when Jonathon and my family arrive for their visits! I am very much looking forward to seeing them all and showing them around where I live - it should be amazing!! :D

Surprise! Two cities in one weekend

So I didn't have any travel plans this weekend. Really, I didn't. However, I did travel. To two cities, mind you. Two old, beautiful, crowded, and tiring cities. Did I mention they were beautiful? So, the story began on Friday evening (when I didn't have any travel plans), but that quickly changed when my wonderful host family decided to that they wanted to travel and bring me to Munster and Cologne.

Yesterday was pretty uneventful and felt as if we weren't making the most of Northern Germany so today we set off early and found an interesting little place to head for.
