Caleb played in the sand for a while as I took a dip - surprised to feel that the water here was a touch warmer than Naxos. We met a younger couple traveling from Calgary and got some ideas about Thailand from them. Then a St. Catherine's family with two kids arrived and ...

... This has very narrow twisty windy streets with very few roads for vehicle access. We eventually found the church I wanted and got my shots. The views are spectacular and the little restaurants all seem to have beautiful views. We decided to have calamari; mine fried and Relle's grilled. It was delicious and so fresh. ... spot, we went to the supermarket and bought some biscuits, some nutella and some chips and sat and ate them in an abandoned old supermarket. There was so many people sitting on roofs, on the ground, and all over the castle. There were lots of couples of course haha! It was indeed beautiful but I was more overwhelmed by the sight of probably around 200 people all sitting so closely together quietly watching the sun fall on the beautiful white buildings and over the sea. It was a great ...

... fantastic views of the whole island.
Next we headed to a traditional village, Megalochori. The only new buildings in town are the five star hotel which was built in the same style as the existing village (and is the only hotel in town). We peeked inside what was a traditional cave house.
We also had a chance to see a vineyard close up. In Santorini the wine growers train the vines to ...
