All day long drive to Florida Keys, the chain of islands streching south and west of glorida peninsula...

Half an hour start trying to find the south dixie highway :D but all went well after we found out how all those hway numbers work...

First stop Key Largo then bridge over bridge along Overseas Hway, the longest being the Seven Mile Bridge, hopping from one Key (island) to the next until reaching the southernmost tip of usa on Key West. Cuba is only ...

... airport and our flight home getting to London Friday morning.

The Island Bay resort on Tavernier is a little piece of paradise. 9 bungalows in a line, ours being the last one at the end right on the beach, with the best view. A little private beach, lots of recliners and armchairs..and the water warm enough to swim... even for Peter.

Here you don't go looking for the wildlife, it comes to you. Iguana waddled up our deck to join us for breakfast ...

Well, guess what they did on Thursday--yep--they went fishing and yes they left me at home again. Is that a run-on sentence? You know I never went to school (except that one minor deal where I basically learned my name). Mom said they caught some fish. They were called Bonitos which is a one on the "edible list". One means not so good to eat for those reading who don't know like Mom. I think she's getting her info from Dylan; is that scary ...

      Rufus, my friend!

Well I woke up early this morning and my first thought was of Rufus, my feline friend! I just lay there and thought about her. I could see her little mustache and that cute little swish of her tail. I could see her rubbing against the glass door early in the morning. I especially love the look of horror in her adorable face when they (my loving family) opens the door and I take off after her! I can't wait to see her. My heart aches.
Shortly after I woke up thinking about Rufus ...
