Melia Las Palmas

Our boat is moored in the marina at la Palmas (Fact for you Derek: Spains 7th biggest city). The city is pretty dirty and noisy but whilst Nic was here last week we hired a car for a few days and wild camped our way around the island. Again I am suprised at how beatuiful it is - really dramatic mountains and cliffs. Today was the last day and i got up early and went for breakfast then did then got a bus to Maspalomas and walked back to Playa del Ingles.
Had a swim in the sea for the last time which was amazing and then back to the hotel to have a shower and pack our stuff for check out at 12 :-(!!
Our flight wasnt till 6:15pm so we went to the Yumbo centre for a drink ...

Today we decided to get a bus to Las Palmas, the first bus stop was the wrong one so had to walk to another bus stop!!



Got the bus and arrived at the station and realised we had got off a stop to early so had to walk about 2 miles to the next one but had a bit good exercise:-)..

They let us take our bag on the camel and took a picture while
we set off which i later purchased for 5 euros which i thought was
quite good.
It was bout 30 degrees when going through the dunes and
he ever offered to take a picture for us with our personal cameras
which i thought was good because normally they wouldnt so you ...

... is a caberet drag bar Then when we got back to the hotel Josh went to bed and i walked by the pool and ended up trying out my german speaking skills with a group of Germans which i wasnt very succesful at, then went to the hotel room and woke up in the night and was sick too much alcohol opps..
Woke up this morning struggled to eat ...

First day yesterday here the flight was really good went really quick
and when we arrived it cost about 35Euros for a taxi to the hotel..
First impressions arriving to the hotel were good however it was a
different story when they showed us to the room! We got to our room it
was on the ground floor a big damp patch on the wall then opened the
door to the balcony and there were about 6 palm trees planted infront
of it so you couldnt see ...

Mingling by the harbour bars, meeting a lot of people and planting the seeds for the crossing. It´s all about singing along and chatting with whomever is next to you. Good things come to those who wait...inshallah : )

... on the beach! This is what Brian calls vacation. Not me draging him all over cities. I got sunburnt on my shins and top of my feet. We had waterproof sunscreen, but it must have worn off in the water and sand. I'm nothing compared to Brian. He put on sunscreen when he had shoes on so his feet had no protection! They are lobster red! He also got toasted where the backpack wore off the sunscreen. I have never seen more naked people! In Barcelona there ...

 O David só chegou lá dois dias depois de mim, pois esteve a fazer um trabalho de verão bem chatinho, ao qual eu me orgulho muito, da sua paciência. Mas depois dele chegar, foi tudo muito bom. ... 17 anos, sair com os amigos todas as noites até ser de manhã, ficarmos todos juntos e todas as coisas que se fazem na viagem de finalistas.
Foi ai, que conheci o David. (Conheci, como quem diz, comecei a falar com ele. Porque já o conhecia há anos.)
 
Desde logo ficamos grandes amigos. Nessa semana até fizemos os dois um piercing... Basicamente nunca mais nos largámos. :D
