Hung over again

... selling sea food and having bbqs on the beach. The weather is amazing cant believe that its still around the 25 degrees mark at this time of year.

We walked for a while and then worked our way back to the hotel where Ian went and lay by the pool for a little while reading his book while I had a little sleep. Its only a few days now until we come home and I am excited although I want to keep on travelling around. We got ready ...

Too Funny

... and laughing at the funnyness of where we are.

As we walked past the bars imagine how funny it was to see loads of english couples a little older all sat in a bar watching only fools and horses. I always thought people where kidding when they said they came on holiday like this but is so true. Each to there own is all I can say. Ian is struggling to adjust and keeps saying he wants some spanish food. Lol.

Sunrise over the Med

... for an affordable holiday. torremolinos tends to have more belgian, dutch and northern europeans.

terry and i travel well together, we usually don't go out to eat and prefer to shop for our own groceries, stay in and cook. we usually rent a time share or in this case an apartment/hotel which is like a time share only the kitchen does not have an oven, just a stove top. there is a hybrid microwave with convection oven that i am afraid of using after my toast ...

Caves of Nerja

Today we had an excursion to the Caves of Nerja about an hour away on the bus. The little town on the water was cute and reminded me so much of Dubrovnik. We have free time to visit the little church and have an ice cream. Then we were off to the nearby caves which were fascinating but didn't learn much because the guide was doing double time with the tour speaking both French and English and he spoke mostly French even when he was speaking English it seemed.

Morocco deserves more than a day!

... well, I don´t think they really ride camels anymore in the city of Tangier anyway. After a couple more bus photos, it was back on the ferry to Spain.

All in all, here´s the verdict on Tangier. It is definitely a changing city, filled with construction of new hotels and lots of places trying to spruce up their looks. I wish we could have spent more time to actually see the real Morocco, instead of getting hustled around on the tour bus, but it was worth it none the less ...

Malaga City Tour

After breakfast and nice stroll on the beach, we head out to see the next city in the list which was Malaga. Malaga is very big compare to its size on the map :)
The trick is to head out to the old part of town to see the actions. Lots of architectures are dated back few years.
Cathedral as like the other places, is a must see in the old city. Small cobble stone alleys make it very nice and easy for walk.
The best ...

Touring Torremolinos

... the Red Parrot. In Spain, hostals aren't like what I imagined, 10 people crammed into a room with a dirty bathroom at the end of the hall. Instead, they have private rooms with bathrooms--they're just a little bare-bones and usually stink of cigarettes. But, for 45 Euro a night, you can't complain. We booked into the place and headed out to the town and the beach. The beach was immaculate and Joe kept askiong if we had to pay to be on it. You don't, but if you want a lounge chair ...

"You haven´t lived until...

... it as a 'wonder', it has just always been 'there'). So when they cut the list of 21 down to 7 in July 2007, it sure has my vote! We also went on a three hour trek to get to a Moorish ruin, right up on a cliff near a small town. We got sunburnt and bothered, but well worth it! Not much to do tomorrow, so might go see a Monastery and the all famous "Science Park" (imagine the "Questacon" of Spain) before we jet (train) off to Madrid.
