... has a late meeting, Rowena stayed until after dinner and teeth brushing, so I only really had to make sure the kids didn't kill each other for like 30-45 minutes. I did a swell job since they're both still alive. I have no idea what time Beatrice will be home tonight and I don't really want to stay awake to know when she gets back. I'm so exhausted already. I feel like this day has just gone on and on. This morning feels like such a long time ago!

... champagne (not just ordinary sparkling wine!), as well as some plastic dividers (that one would use in folders) to serve as my new cutting board and individual plates! When the young woman from house-keeping saw our set-up, she offered to bring us some plates and cutlery, and returned with some extra bread and butter as well. It certainly was nice to make the most of our luxurious room.

My Eiffel Tour was next at 2:00 pm. I got on the train, which was of course packed, and made it well ahead of time. The metro system is very good here, but very crowded. I have to stand virtually every time. Actually the first car to the Eiffel was so crowded that as everyone was packing on the doors ...

... was a hurry up and wait situation, but time will pass so we were soon on board the first train, which would terminate in Dax. The trip was long, fast and comfortable. I noticed by 8 am Norm was munching on his sandwich. I ate mine around 10, which feels like lunchtime if you're up at 4. Then we had another wait, only this time when our number came up on the departures board it wasn't a platform number at all. It was a little ...
