    ... cloud over the estate and it was bought by the church in the 1920's. Later bought by the Victorian Parks Department in the 1970's and they restored the property, opening it to the public.

    It doesn't have the same sort of depth of history that an old property would have back home, but the stories behind it, about those people who left their countries in search of a better life elsewhere, are interesting.
