... a masters in financial planning and had been working as a financial banker for seven yrs before quitting it all and going travelling, to later become a tourguide. He seemed very happy with his lot though. He was very good, he the gave the stories and sites a lot of meaning, felt like you were there. Kept referring to the Czech people as a cheeky bunch, and told a few stories which demonstrated this, ie:
1) One of the many beautiful buildings in Prague is the concert hall ...
-Woke up in Hostel Elf
-Went to Old Town and walked around
-Went up in the clock tower and had an amazing view of the city!
-Grabbed lunch at a little shop (our first salad in a long time! we were both craving some healthy food...)
-Went on free walking tour - had a great guide.

... Hostel), it's not directly in the center so the surrounding area is less touristy and cheaper. All in all, Prague is not the dirt cheap destination we had hoped for but the prices are resonable and the beer and food are both good. For the rest of the day, we'll be regaining our equilibrium and preparing to travel south to Cesky Krumlov tomorrow, where we'll stay for a few days before embarking towards Slovakia.
Prague, Bohemia, Czech Republic thedart... For a change we had more space than we knew what to do with and it reminded us of how much we missed having a home. We thought seven days in Prague might be a little long, but we couldn't have been more wrong. Our time in this amazing city flew by and we wished we had another seven days by the time we had to leave. For us the beauty of Prague was not only visiting the major attractions but exploring the back streets; abandoning the map and just ...
Prague, Bohemia, Czech Republic vine_hooligans... mistake some American hikers make in coming to Switzerland, is thinking the only hiking is in this National Park. Hiking is EVERYWHERE in Switzerland. I have not hiked in the National Park, and it probably has excellent hiking, but so do all the other regions. Arosa Recommended in Walking Easy in the Swiss Alps, Walking in Switzerland. Davos We spent a week here in August 1996. Davos is a somewhat larger town near Klosters, the famous ski resort. Prague, Czech Republic caycee... We did try to get visas in Moscow for Mongolia and Ulah Batar (it's capitol) but it wasn't feasible as it was a holiday and we needed to have 3-5 days to pick it up and....we.. after all the interesting people we met, I remember a few who were overly friendly and they said they were from Ulan-Baatar About a day before our stop, a lot of these people got off as the train tracks branched off to their country to the south ...
Prague, Czech Republic fiddlehead... into his own hands and remove it himself. For some reason, he figured that setting it alight would be the best method, and so, under cover of darkness, set the scaffolding ablaze. The spire went up in smoke, and the scaffolding collapsed with such a loud noise that the young man thought the entire thing was coming down, true to all predictions. In his shame and disappointment, he ran down to the Vltava River and ...
Prague, Czech Republic cazali... as a person. (Yep I have turned hippy) Well a quiet night in Prague to rest and recover awaiting joining my brother in London was on the cards until I started playing firstly poker for beers amd then "Kings" with a bunch of Dutch guys. The sensible decision to call it a night and not follow them into town was made considering I was nearly "Marine Drunk" and had a 6am flight the next morning

Again, nothing too exciting happened in Prague...its a beautiful place, but you can only walk around and take in the sights for a certain amount of time. I'm excited about our next stop, a tiny place in the south called Cesky Krumlov.
