Tongli Old Town

A travel blog entry by alcatrav on Jun 28, 2015

... in. The old town is surrounded by a canal and is very cute with old style, low rise buildings, lots of lanterns hanging and boats moving slowly round. Our walking was at a slow pace as it is so picturesque! After a while wandering we found somewhere for lunch, and decided to ask for a couple of things we knew we would like (tofu, rice, chicken) but then we just did the "point at a random item" ordering method. ...

Last week I became ill with sore throat/cough/cold (which is tailing off now) and just didn't feel great, and I wasn't looking forward to this strange sounding party if I'm being honest. 2 weeks ago when Lopair told us we would have to sing a song, she seemed ...

Yesterday we took a bus out to Dongtou Island. It is the same island that we rode our bikes out to in September but couldn't quite finish the job. Myself, Kevin, Tristen, and two girls from Chicago: Kat and Janet, whom we met last week went out to the island. Our first stop was a Military theme park that was full of old military ...
