Today we headed out to the suburbs of Shanghai to the charming old world atmosphere of nearby Zhujiajiao, a traditional water canal town dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties. We boarded a 'gondola' for a canal cruise passing old wooden houses, arch stone bridges (apparently there are 36 of them) and narrow paved laneways. We then walked back through the narrow streets seeing lots of food, particularly pork, and tourist ...

Here Kjersti and I checked into Dockside boutique hotel, a five star hotel where most of the wedding guests are staying. The room we got is huge and really comfortable, but unfortunately it offers absolutely no privacy as there are glass doors to the ...

Due to the volume of water flowing into the delta (the Yangtze is the world's 3rd longest river), ...

Yesterday we took a bus out to Dongtou Island. It is the same island that we rode our bikes out to in September but couldn't quite finish the job. Myself, Kevin, Tristen, and two girls from Chicago: Kat and Janet, whom we met last week went out to the island. Our first stop was a Military theme park that was full of old military ...
