We're on our way to Italy for the next month and stopped for the night in Bellinzona in the Swiss Alps, we are only an half hours drive from Lake Lugano which we'll visit tomorrow. The first snow of the year fell last night, but I don't think anyone here gets to excited about it, as most of the hotels seem to be closed until the 4th December!

... town to town. We first went to Varenna and walked around. Then back to Bellagio for lunch on the lake. Then to Managgio and back again to Bellagio. It's all very beautiful here and we are just taking the opportunity to relax. We will use our balcony this evening for gazing into Lake Como and then tomorrow we make the trek to Strasbourg. ... hotel Villa Sebolloni (a very posh, ritzy hotel here.) they are traveling with a large group associated with a lighting manufacturer that sponsors vacations for their customers every year. Their room was spectacular with a huge private balcony overlooking the Lake! We met several folks from all over the country that go along on these trips. We took a taxi back to the hotel and crashed. Finalmente! At the lounge. Caught 12.20 bus out to Malpensa. Took 10 minutes to walk to the Metro, catch the train and get on the express bus. So far so good. The bus drives through some awful suburbs. Challenge one. Italian chick for Qatar - and it was my fault for being in the wrong line - tried to tell me I couldn't take my 11kg hand luggage on board. While upstairs we opened one of the 3 bottles of wine we bought from a servo coming into Italy. 3 for 9 Euro! Bargain. We sipped at that while ******* around in our room ( not literally) and spent the night in the warm comforts of a private bed without the sounds of neighboring snorers.
