... Santa Claus too! ~Jackie~ Lunch was hosted in a small, dark wooden restaurant, with surely far too few tables to accommodate all 118 of us, but somehow we fit. After a full morning of sightseeing in Berlin, what else could we have to eat but a stereotypical German meal of chips, salad, and schnitzel? ... to living in small spaces I figured I would manage fine. The weather in Berlin turned nasty soon after my arrival (surprise, surprise), I have seen so much rain in the last 3 weeks - I'm now well and truly over it. By Tuesday I thought I was confident enough to go out and do my long run (the one that I should have done on the weekend). Big day's drive to Berlin

... was sick of driving. We arrived at our Berlin residence around 7 pm and settled in for the next 3 days. Not quite what we had been used to but it would do as we had some big days ahead. Food here is cheap compared to home and though we had a full kitchen, decided to eat out. First night, an Italian Ristorante around the corner that served giant sized pizza and cold beers. ... a 66m high memorial to Prussian victories in the Napoleonic Wars stands. We got a panoramic view of Berlin from the top. Down to say goodbye to Peter - and passed two l-o-n-g line for the famous Doner Oscar kebab and Currywurst 36.
Back to our home area after a couple of train changes to enjoy a delicious white wine and tapas dinner at a local place called Yosoy. Another wonderful day.
