... Cheng Do took one and half hours each way and as we were sailing again at 2pm, there was not a lot of time on our hands. The visits were to two temples and to a shopping street / market (although the closest we got to the latter was a drive through the precinct).

Our tour guide said to call her Hayley as it sounded like her Chinese name. She was a 20 something Chinese lady who has a degree and Masters in Education and is in the ...

I still loved having a peek in all the tulous; despite the fact that they were all similar architecturally and the layout was also similar, they each had a different character. ... actually cross the road, well that was fun!!! We managed to not be run down by pushbikes, motorbikes, cars, taxis, buses and trucks!! And I forgot all the pedestrians that just barge through anyway!

Had a lazy day today staying around the Hotel Indigo. We walked down Zhongshan Lu and had lunch at Aijsen Ramen, one of our favourite Japanese restaurant chains. We then wandered back to the hotel and had afternoon tea sitting up in the restaurant area overlooking the harbour and Gulangyu Island, unfortunately not warm or nice enough to sit outside.
