We set off early this morning for the fast train out of Fuzhou. Get this...the taxi stops in the middle of a three lane highway and everybody jump out! Meanwhile, cars, bikes, buses and motor scooters are racing by. Lucky us...Mr. Lu had bright red 'fishing' hats for all of us to wear. ... like a labyrinth between houses. This is precisely what I wanted, Suzhou and many developed or tourist cities in China are becoming so sterile and bland in an effort to be attractive and clean that they've lost their character. However, this was fascinating to walk around the the location, a small seaside city surrounded by mountains, was certainly spectacular.

Indeed, one reason I'd chosen Ningde was a desire to see the sea. So ...

that you climb to go "hiking." We went "hiking" along
streams and waterfalls. We met many friendly people. We finally made it to the
place we were looking for "Long Qiu temple." It is
located towards the top of the mountain. It was a very pretty area. You could
see all of Ningde from the area where the temple was. A nice lady at the temple
let us look around.. She also told us the history ...
