... police for biking on the wrong path. After the lake, I decided I'd try and visit a tea village. What ensued was my first real travel mess up of the trip. I picked up a tourist bus, but either took it in the wrong direction or missed my stop, which I only realized when I got to the terminus. Took the fast train of 300kph to Hangzhou, west of Shanghai. A smaller city of nearly 9 million people with a much more laid back and friendly atmosphere. Pretty trees, a beautiful lake and everyone out walking with their kids as it is school ...

... a waiter at a restaurant I ate at ended up being the tour guide for us when Benno and Kate came to Hangzhou.

Other observations
There are a few things that are starting to irritate me, such as crowded buses, and people pushing in front when I am lining up for something such as the checkout or ordering food, and the constant slagging I still find disgusting. It really annoys me, but the huge majority of people are nice and civil.

... The intelligence of some of these kids is scary, seriously.

Anyway I got through the first day, and each day after I was given more and more classes in about 5 different locations. Most of the classes are of less than 10 students, which is certainly beneficial for their speaking.
