I was really overdue my holidays, finally getting to take it in October and I just signed up to two weeks of not doing much in Turkey with a couple of friends in a group. For me though not doing much isn't my cup of tea so I took every chance to re-live my old Turkey memories, from food, sights, sea, dancing and ahem, yes the men, again :)
Please come back soon as I update all the stories from the two weeks. Thanks.
... with an angle grinder and got us aboard at 05.30.
We slept the sleep of the just and innocent until 10.00 on Thursday morning and woke to a warm sunny day with the impossibly blue Lakki Bay glistening its welcome.
Since then we have been enjoying the large yellow thing in the sky (it has ****** down for the last 2 months in Scotland) and the general feeling of well-being that a little sunshine can bring.
After doing various jobs on the ...

What a wonderful lunch!
Back in Bodrum to experience a little bit of night life. While walking the streets of the city, I could hear dance music in the distance. I looked in the direction and saw flickering lights as well. This was a great outdoor night club called Halikarnas based on the ancient mausoleum Halicarnasos. Music was loud and on stage a Turkish male belly dancer.
What a nice day to spend in Bodrum Turkey.

Bodrum, Muğla Province, Turkey ocohen... which seemed to have kept its low key ways even though there are probably many tourists here in high season. There were many attractive but reasonable restaurants to choose from and we settled on the one with the most home cooked air. So home cooked was it that we were taken into the kitchen to point at what we wanted to order. We finished the night with gelato and some edutainment from two very animated carpet salesmen. The third night ...
