    We stopped at the port of Corfu. The only way to really get around the island is to take an excursion. At least it was for us. We were going to see a Monastery in the village of Palaiokastritsa and to the village of Gastouri to visit the 19th century Achilleion Palace.
    The places were very beautiful and again the excursions didn't disappoint ...

    Day 8 started with one of my favourite pass times. Charity shopping. We checked out a little shop attached the back of a pet store. There were a few cool telephones but nothing worth buying. In the pet store, two puppies had been abandoned in a box and left on the doorstep. They were very cute but it seemed unlikely they find a home.
