Travel Blogs from Benidorm
... show up at the appointed time and enjoy the fellowship of some very nice people.
On the last two Wednesdays we tackled a couple of easy/moderate routes, one a good climb, the other a long (19kms) walk on a beautiful abandoned railway bed.
Here are the descriptions that Bill shares with the group in advance of the walks:
... bit of paperwork (typical Spanish type) but we were able to take ownership of the car this afternoon. We returned our rental to the airport and took a taxi to the dealership.
It is now safely parked in our underground garage. Lars is busy thinking of a name for our wheels. I'm just excited to contemplate our next road trip. We may be headed for the south of France soon...Annelie and Jan, be warned!
Ok yet again we have been slack in updating the blog but life is to be lived after all.
Not all of you may know that we moved to Edinburgh in July last year and what a fab place. And also found a great Bikram yoga place that both Mr and Mrs Mac enjoy ( yes he goes too) A castle and Harvey Nichs what more could we want ? A great Hogmany followed by ...
... a bit, but finally we were on our way.
It's always a happy moment when we turn the key in the lock and see our sun-filled apartment with that lovely view of the sea. Our home for the coming winter months!
It didn't take us long to get settled. And to our delight, shortly after our arrival Vincent, Alexia and Madlyn came by to give us a warm hello....and a few minutes later Marie appeared to make their welcome complete!
... House (she folded our pyjamas when we left for the day...did I mention that before??) but this apartment in Alicante fell in the memorable category for sure. It was 3 stories and had 4 bedrooms, 6 balconies and at least 8 TVs (you need one on each balcony...obviously). The weird thing was not so much the fanciness of the place so much as the fact it was one of the cheapest places we stayed in Spain. I don't know ...

The best hotel in benidorm
i have stayed in this hotel for 16 visits and who ever stays here and does not like it my advice is go stay at azoo this has everything you want good food clean great location if you want a quite time if you want it noisy a 5minute walk and its on your doorstep the staff bend over backwards to help the wife is disabled we had a problem with one of the wheels and the MANAGER took it and got it repaired thats what i call service
Having seen the previous reviews on the Hotel Regente my wife and myself stayed ther in January 2005, Having stayed in many Portland rated hotels and numerous others in the resort of Benidorm, a resort we visit on average four times a year. We found this hotel disappointing, although the decor was good we found the standard and variety of food on offer very, very disappointing. I would not personally recommend this hotel and certaining have no intention of a re-visit.
4th time at this Hotel
It gets better all the time ,since refurb good food great staff, very clean,
and very good position to sample all the nightlife.
Stayed in hotel Regente September 2004 with my boyfriend. Hotel and rooms were kept very clean. Pool was new and also kept clean. There was more than enough food and a good variety. Good location. Carlos the pool side assistant was very friendly and helpful - Pizza, San Miquel and Blue Lagoons were great !!! Would definately go again

Returned to Benidorm after a five year gap, found loads of different things going on, Terra Mittica, Mundamar, both worth visiting.
The regente has not lost it's freindliness the staff from cleaner to director are excellent especially the bingo caller.

the food was delicious and plenty of it 7 of us went and we were having 6 course meals
the rooms were cleaned every day
and the pool was new and had a jaccuzi at one end
i would definitly go back there
it is also an all british hotel and very friendly
Going back next year!!
having just got back from benidorm 3/6/04. Am already looking to book for same holiday next year
The hotel regente in our opinion is excellent and we have been going to benidorm now for 8 years, it is clean, the staff are excellant, carlos who runs the kids disco is brill, the kidzone club run by helen, amanda and corrine is well run, hotel location is excellant, the pool is fab, food could be a bit better but you wont starve (could have a bit more choices for kids) and the rooms could do with being a bit bigger but have clean beds and towels every day. would def recommend
