Farewell to Benicassim
... is not far to travel to.
We have liked having coffee on the terrace of the Voramar hotel and have met some lovely people who come here every year.
The coast is lovely here and we really liked Peniscola too.
There are not so many high rise modern hotels as further down the coast and there is still some old world charm about the area with it's lovely ...
Leaving soon...
... in a large spacious apartment...room for many guests.
Of course we've learned that buying property here is a bit more complicated than our real estate transactions in Sweden. You may have read my NIE entry a few days ago. Last Friday we spent an hour working with a Notary to make sure some of the legal details can happen even if we're ...
And now we have an N.I.E.
... process. It was a bit like a herd of cattle being moved through various gates. Of course the fault was ours. Learning to speak Spanish is definitely something on our radar now!Afterwards we celebrated with a lovely lunch in Alicante before we took the tram home again.
My photos aren't very exciting but we used the tram this morning and walked a few km to our destination and back again so I'll post those too.

On our way to VALENCIA
... the next morning and got the cruising chute up when we had motored the short distance out of the bay to pick up the wind.
A fantastic sail along the coast crossing the Greenwich 0 degree line of longitude on the way putting us back in the Eastern hemisphere since we crossed it back in June.
Calpe is a seaside town but the rock is a well known landmark and is found on lots of postcards here in Spain. It is very popular. We needed to get ...
Christmas time is here!
Today was a great day. It started out as normal, me doing school work. Then I went into town and met with a couple friends. Olivia lives in an apartment and she bought Christmas decorations! It was so fun and we had a great time. On my way to class I walked past the mercado, which was all light up! It is so beautiful! ...

The best hotel in benidorm
i have stayed in this hotel for 16 visits and who ever stays here and does not like it my advice is go stay at azoo this has everything you want good food clean great location if you want a quite time if you want it noisy a 5minute walk and its on your doorstep the staff bend over backwards to help the wife is disabled we had a problem with one of the wheels and the MANAGER took it and got it repaired thats what i call service
Very disappointed
Having seen the previous reviews on the Hotel Regente my wife and myself stayed ther in January 2005, Having stayed in many Portland rated hotels and numerous others in the resort of Benidorm, a resort we visit on average four times a year. We found this hotel disappointing, although the decor was good we found the standard and variety of food on offer very, very disappointing. I would not personally recommend this hotel and certaining have no intention of a re-visit.
4th time at this Hotel
It gets better all the time ,since refurb good food great staff, very clean,
and very good position to sample all the nightlife.
BENIDORM
Stayed in hotel Regente September 2004 with my boyfriend. Hotel and rooms were kept very clean. Pool was new and also kept clean. There was more than enough food and a good variety. Good location. Carlos the pool side assistant was very friendly and helpful - Pizza, San Miquel and Blue Lagoons were great !!! Would definately go again
Great holiday
hi just had a 2 week holiday at this hotel and it was great
all the hotel as been refurbished new swimming pool a loveley decking area for sunbathing
very nice and clean bedrooms staff very freindly
food was very good with a good choice
overall a great hotel
Had a good break
Returned to Benidorm after a five year gap, found loads of different things going on, Terra Mittica, Mundamar, both worth visiting.
The regente has not lost it's freindliness the staff from cleaner to director are excellent especially the bingo caller.

Regente hotel
the regente is centrally situated in the levante area near all of the amenities
the food was delicious and plenty of it 7 of us went and we were having 6 course meals
the rooms were cleaned every day
and the pool was new and had a jaccuzi at one end
i would definitly go back there
it is also an all british hotel and very friendly
Going back next year!!
having just got back from benidorm 3/6/04. Am already looking to book for same holiday next year
The hotel regente in our opinion is excellent and we have been going to benidorm now for 8 years, it is clean, the staff are excellant, carlos who runs the kids disco is brill, the kidzone club run by helen, amanda and corrine is well run, hotel location is excellant, the pool is fab, food could be a bit better but you wont starve (could have a bit more choices for kids) and the rooms could do with being a bit bigger but have clean beds and towels every day. would def recommend
