Today was Thanksgiving back in the US, or as the Spaniards call it, Accion de Gracias. First of all, I would like to say that I am impressed by how much the Spaniards know about the United States. I called home and I told my mom that the Spaniards know about Thanksgiving and my mom was surprised that they know about it, and also how she doesn't know of any Spanish holidays. I've lived here for over two months and I still barely know ...
Málaga, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands skivail89A couple of days ago I was talking with a friend of mine who is from England but is living in Malaga now. He told me that one time in a restaurant the waiter asked how the meal was and he told the waiter that it wasn't that good. He told me that normally the British will just sit there with an unhappy look on their face and never say anything. He got the meal for free. Today I met two really cool people from Seville, Alejandro (Alex) and ...
Málaga, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands skivail89... ill but it was cheap and filled us up.
We went to a place called Montys bar where they had a live act on we thought it was going to be really cheesy but it turned out to be ok. Steve the man who was playing was really good and played lots of old classics man rock songs so Ian liked it and I enjoyed it to. We then stagered back to our room around midnight a little drunk again. Looks like we are fitting right in with this holiday.
... drive along the coast through Marbella and we even saw the rock of Gibralter as well. As we where travelling though you could not help but notice the strips of english bars and restaurants and we laughed about what we have got coming up.
We got the the centre of Torrimolinos and got a taxi to our hotel. Its ok the hotel is clean and we have a large kitchen and balcony not overlooking the pool but its ok ...
... is heavier than i normally travel with, getting around the london train stations is challenging at best especially when there is no escalator or elevator.on two seperate occasions during this trek i was surprised to get two seperate offers from complete strangers to help me carry my luggage down the stair. i look at this as nothing more than good karma, if you put it out there it will come back to you. i guess helping the lost tourists in san francisco paid off?

... people overall seem like they´re just trying to live their lives, if you look past the street hustlers. The city didn´t feel any less safe than Istanbul, or even Barcelona for that matter. Our view of organized tours has not been changed, however, and if we go again, we´re definitely visiting Morocco on our own. It´s worth a lot more than 3 hours.
For now we´re packing up from our lovely vacation, and heading back on the bus to Sevilla, our final stop in Spain. Stay tuned!
... for lunch is an area called Chininitos where there are lots of chairs and tables set outside for a great seafood.
Teatro Romano is another nice place to visit, heading up to the Mount Gilfrano from there allows to see the whole city underneath. Amazing view of the Torre where the bullfighting occurs.
Once seeing the precaussions was over at night, we head out to Cordoba for our last day of visit in the Southern Spain.
... course. (We later discovered the old, picturesque pueblo hidden away in the mountains). Most of the inhabitants of Benalmadena are either Dutch, English, or German, so we didn't have any high hopes of finding the Spain that we love, but that was ok. We were there to work. Our days started off at the supermarket at 9:30am and at the villa of our employers by 10:30am. By this time the two nannies had done their best to clean up ...
Benalmadena, Spain haveyouseenher... Reyes Catolico and Grand Dia Colon. We found a very nice cafeteria called Alhambra Café in the Plaza Bib-Rambla. Sitting outside the square, over looking Cathedral Granada was very nice. We had the lunch special - comes with soup, main dish, and dessert for 8.00 €. After lunch, we headed back to our hostel and took a nap.. well a long nap! After the sleepless trip from riding the bus, we needed the rest for tomorrow's ...
