... water lucky enough ! We had a great lunch and than attacked the gorgeous swimming pool of this beautiful house they had rented from an old friend. After a good swim M & N went for a little siesta of an hour while we stayed around the pool chilling. When they came back it was time for the famous "aperó" and we had fun slowly preparing while eating and drinking more food for dinner. Sitting at the ...

Beach Life

A travel blog entry by nick.veez

It's about a 20minute drive from our villa to the local beach of Arenal in Javea, once you arrive your greeted with lovely white golden sand, clear turquoise water and a beach front promenade full of small shops and restaurants. After being dropped down by bobby we found our way to a small stretch of the beach relatively clear ...

Restaurant Fun and the easy life

... restaurant. Upon heading out to said restaurant we quickly discovered that it was actually closed much to the confusion and bemusement of the group. Suddenly rather randomly a welshman driving a black bmw pulled up beside us and directed us to a spanish restaurant he highly recommended, hidden, just across the street. We took his advice and proceeded to this place and sat down to be served by a ...

A week in Retrospect - Outbound

A travel blog entry by nick.veez

I'll be the first to admit, sometimes you just need a break from it all. Tash and I have been working very hard lately and coupled with other life events, we really felt like we needed a break. Happily, Tash's father had invited us along with her brother away for a vacation in Spain, arranged for his birthday by his wife. The journey there was frankly a little arduous, Tash had the unenviable task of driving us up ...

... for dessert. We went to a beach cafe that we had discovered earlier which had a huge variety of crepes available. Sverre had a chocolate banana crepe and I had chocolate coconut. They were much bigger than expected and the chocolate in it was superb! Not too expensive either. We spent Sunday organising and packing for the next part of our trips. Sverre still wasn´t sure when he´d be leaving but wanted to be organised for when the time came. I was leaving the next ...

    Hotel Mediterraneo

    from

    The hotel Mediterraneo was EXCELLENT!

The food was lovely and the hotel was spotless.

The staff were very well mannered and very friendly.

The rooms were very well presented and they were spotless.

The only let down to this hotel was the lack of sun beds around the out door swimming pool area.

    Fantastic holiday

    from

A fantastic hotel with excellent food and services, good facilities and ideal location, great for families and couples alike. will not disappoint

    Some things excellent-food????

    from

Just spent 2 weeks in Mediterraneo.Ages 61, 62, 35, 33, 12, 6 yrs and 20 months. Reception excellent especially Allexandria.Maid service very good and efficient. Pool area absolutley spotless.Could not fault the hotel for the standard of cleanliness anywhere in the hotel. We were all inclusive and I had my faith in the idea restored after a very bad experience in the Bhia Principe Tenerife 2 yrs ago. Here the total lack of food hiegene I put down to all inclusive but the Med managed to keep the resturants very clean. The food?-good qualty, very varied, plenty of choice but I would say boring, lacked imagination, was safe and veg always overcooked. With a bit more flare in the dinning room this could be a very good hotel.

    Brilliant Hotel

    from

We have just come back from this hotel the hotel location was brilliant away from the town so you didnt get all the noise.

The accomodation was brilliant the rooms were a good size and they were kept very clean the maids came in every day to empty bins, make beds etc.

The food was brilliant there was a wide range every day so they was something for everybody.

The staff were very very helpful and would help if you had any problems, the problem was the entertainment was not up too much to tell you the true there was not enough the children got abit bored as it didnt run all day, the entertainment of a night was not up too much either but overall the hotel was good.

Excellent Family Hotel - Will not disappoint!

    from

We are just back from our one week stay at the Mediterraneo Hotel in Benidorm and we couldn't have been more pleased or impressed. The hotel itself is top quality from the moment you walk into the spacious, air-conditioned, marble floored reception until you reach your spotlessly clean, airy, well-equipped bedroom. This hotel has only 3 floors (which is great for parents with a young family) and every room overlooks the gigantic outdoor swimming pool! The food was excellent - great variety. Even on the days when I wasn't overly hungry, I ended up sitting down to a big plate of food - it was that good! All the meats were cooked fresh and every thing was appetising and delicious. Watch out for the desserts - very addictive!! If you are going to this hotel - you are in for a real treat.
