However, once you see the houses up close they're not nearly as nice as from far away - they're very old, and some are missing half a roof and look very dusty and unhomely. However, far away their red roofs against the green jagged mountains is simply like a scene from another world. I guess that's Italy! When we entered the mountainous region, we were also right by the coast, and when we weren't driving through one of the 150 or so ...

... enormously high mountains, I think we have come along here at the perfect time of year (for a couple who don’t ski). The temperature did not drop below 14, the skies were blue and the air is the freshest in the world. ... Menton. Nog een leuke babbel mee gedaan. Ik heb me niet verveeld hier in Nice, maar morgen wil en moet ik verder.

Vrijdag 3 juni.
Nice----Entrevaux : 81 km - totaal: 3050 km.
Gisterenavond was het nog een gedoe. 8 bedden en negen personen op de kamer. Opgelost door de vrouw van een koppel te verhuizen van een mannenkamer naar een vrouwenkamer.
De volgende dagen niet te lang gemaakt zodat ik ingeval van slecht weer zeker optijd een camping heb. Het was ...

İlginçtir Monet ,Renoir,Dufy gibi bir çok ressam bu kentte yaşamış ve çok fazla Provence resmi yapmışlar, ama Menton un gerçekten yağlı boya tablo kadar güzel manzarasını hiç resmetmemişler.
