Sydney, New South Wales, Australia hyper351... Mandy & I had to go to Qantas desk to try an retrieve our bag tag numbers & report back to Emerites. Of course nobody was at the service desk except for a lady @ the 1st class check in desk. She didn't appear all that interested in serving us as she chatted to a colleague. As I muster all my patience I eventally got her attention and assertively got her assistance. Her colleague got in on the act & both were as nice as pie once ...
Sydney, New South Wales, Australia lawlerb... the cove for a little while, but never once saw a person walk down onto the beach or whizz by in an unsightly 4x4. after leaving the beach, we drove to frenchman's peak. the walk up to the base of the peak was along an easy boardwalk, but this soon turned into a series of steeper gradients up the peak until we reached almost the top and an opening up in the peak, where we had to stop for a necessary breather and to take in the views down across the scrubland of the park and ...
Sydney, New South Wales, Australia vickz_2... It makes my mouth water just thinking about it! it was almost orgasmic! Took a walk through the Royal Botanical Gardens to work off those calories! then we sat on a hill top and watched one of the cruise ships, the Aurora, leaving Circular Quay. It had to turn around halfway under the Harbour Bridge and it looked like it was going to get stuck! Everyone on the ship was out on the deck waving goodbye and the ship seemed to be blasting out some really tacky classical music, which ...
Sydney, New South Wales, Australia siov.hall... up some supplies at the grocery store, I noticed a Turkish Pide shop and we arrived at their excellent 2BR apartment in Bondi, a mere 15 minute walk away from the beach and ocean. A downsloping hill, I could see the far expanses of the Pacific all the way to the horizon from their balcony. Brad, a musician and gearhead like myself, had converted the second bedroom into his personal studio - with gear and instruments ...
Sydney, New South Wales, Australia chiapoeI've moved into my apartment officially now! Everything seemed great about the place on first glance, but upon closer inspection we realized that we've got our hands full with house maintenance. There's an overwhelming stench of mildew coming from Michelle's bedroom carpet. And if that isn't repulsive enough, the strange mold growth in the middle of the room is! Of course this was cleverly concealed by the bed when we ...
Coogee, New South Wales, Australia soeurette3... On the way we wanted to go via Canberra - you can't go to a country and not see its capital city eh? so with Aunty Liz's help we booked up a coach ride down to Canberra for a few nights. We also decided to look ahead for work down that way just incase we got to Canberra and found any likely job prospects. We also applied for a few other ones (in the Snowy Mountains and in Melbourne) why not eh?? the more spontanious the ...
Coogee, New South Wales, Australia thai_ler12th December We arrived back to Sydney! It was raining and we didnt know what buses would get us bk to Coogee so we got a taxi. We met Aunty Lizbeth outside of her work so that we could borrow her key to let ourselves in to the house. After a quick hello and lots of hugs we took the bus three stops up the massive hill (it really is huge!) and to our new home! 13th December - 14th December We had finished unpacking and sorting thought some of the stuff we left ...
Coogee, New South Wales, Australia thai_ler... had one of the white ones on my arm then another one landed on my head! Lol... luckily i got it off before it left a present in my hair :-/! We also saw bats hanging in the treets (that was unsual) there was hundreds of them - managed to get a picture of one in mid flight! At the end of the week we're all going to swap pictures so instead of putting them all on now i'll put them up then so everyone can see! After that we walked over to the Sydney Opera ...
