... diversity, aboriginal sacred sights and precolonial history. Then a quick jaunt through the butterfly exhibit and we are done- 21 minutes and still time for a washroom break before venturing back out to the city.
Wandering around Perth you are met by vast construction projects as it races to become a metropolis of the future. Very little is left of the original architecture with most of the space being eaten up by modern high rises ...
I had to get up at 4.30am today because I am flying to Perth. I am so excited because at long last I get to see the Arctic Monkeys. I booked the tickets for me and Kane to go and see them in like October, so it has been a long time coming. We are spending a week in Fremantle and staying with my Auntie Annie and her family which will be so lovely to see them.
Our flight was 4 and half hours to Perth and we are still in Australia, crazy ...
... one.. 5 hours... Aaarrrggghh. Luckily I was in the middle section of 4 with only a woman in the row on the other end.. So there was two empty seats in the middle so I could spread out a little. Spent my time watching movies and tv.... Had to get up and wonder around at one point as my legs needed stretching. Had a lot of time to think about my options. I hope the insurance company comes to the conclusion that they can fix Socs. ...
My alarm was set for 4.30am and I was all ready to get up for the dawn service at Kings Park. Scott has been away working this week so much to his regret I'll be going it alone this time. What a humbling experience! Perth sure knows how to put on a dawn service. From fly over jets and war planes to the most stunning reefs I've ever seen. Reefs from all over the world, delivered from government ...
... silence before he caved in and drove on. Furious I hadn't paid him despite, him actually owing me money considering all the stuff we had paid for at the start of the trip and he was now taking away, he gave me a quick handshake and dumped Luca and I at a hostel in Perth. Finally we felt free! Frank was a controlling, hypocritical, angry, ignorant, arrogant, controlling, aggressive *******. One man I never want to see again. But, ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Medina Executive Barrack Plaza Perth
We spent 6 nights here in May and would highly recommend it. Its modern, clean and perfectly located. Some of the shops along the street are a little seedy but its perfectly located for the station, the river, trips and restaurants etc. We would definitely use it again.
We have just returned from Perth and stayed for 5 nights at Medina Executive Barrack Plaza. The location is excellent and we could walk to the train station, ferry terminal and main shopping malls. We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment on the third floor. The kitchen is fully furnished and the bed is extremely comfortable. The room is clean and nice.
The only slight disappointment is the view from the small balcony. We could only see the back lanes/alleys of the nearby shops. However, the excellent location and cleanliness of the apartment made up for the lack of view.
The gym was small but good enough for a workout.
Overall, a pleasant stay!
A work colleague and I recently stayed three nights in a two bedroom non-smoking apartment on the 9th floor at the Medina Executive Barrack Plaza or the "Medina Apartments" as most people in Perth seem to call it. The apartment was clean and very spacious, with a well appointed kitchen. Each of the bedrooms had a king-size bed and its own large ensuite bathroom. The beds were firm and comfortable with crisp sheets and quilts.
We spent two nights at the Medina Executive Barrack Plaza this past weekend. We'd booked a one bedroom apartment online at the rate of A$170. Although we arrived well before 2 pm check in, we were promptly given an apartment - a two bedroom unit.
stayed here for 3 nights, from 11th December, it's quite a new appart hotel, so everything it lovely and clean and modern. We stayed in the 2 bed superior appartment no 315, which was at the back of the hotel, the appartment it's self was great with a kitchen and a small supply of milk, tea etc, so we had something to drink, before we got organised. The hotel is on barrack street, which is really central for the railway and the pier where all the boat trips leave from, and 2mins from the big shopping malls, great location. There is a bar/cafe downstairs, which we didn't try, but it looked fine for breakfast, although it did close at 9.0pm as did most of Perth, so if you arrive late, go straight out for a meal before everything shuts!
I stayed in this property 3 times for business. I have stayed in both the two bedroom and one bedroom apartment.
The Medina Executive apartments on Barrack St, Perth WA was a delightful stay. The hotel has recently opened with specials at about $160 a night (going up to $180).
