... North into France to Evian. I didn't see anything particularly stunning that makes their water better than anywhere else, but it is a nice town at the foot of the mountains and was worth a visit. Our final day was pretty much a washout, but fortunately our AirBNB guy has a massive TV and so we had a chillout day, catching up on some schooling, playing Monopoly and watching a couple of movies. Next stop, back into France to Champagne. :-)

Suffered through the tedious security and immigration processes which Geneva airport has crafted into a form of travel torture which only the most determined survive. It took us 30 minutes in a secondary queue just to join the start of the queue to go through security.

... and actually see the CMS, which was pretty incredible. The photos don't do it justice – it is just so big and so intricate. The engineers who came up with the design of the thing must be just as genius as the scientists who use the equipment. Unfortunately we didn't get to go into the tunnel and see the collider pipeline underground, but we were lucky to see anything at all. This time next year it will be too dangerous to be anywhere near the CMS ...
