We arrived surprisingly fresh after the 2.35 am start from Melbourne. The flight was OK as we broke it into two seven hour blocks.
Landing in Dubai was exciting.The landscape was so very different.We flew over deserts for many miles.It is such a clean, calm city. Very hot 40 degrees when Norm ...

... the free booze courtesy of Emirates, talking about the good times and before long we had landed in our Bonnie Homeland of Scotland. We landed whilst listening to “Caledonia”.


We got off the plane, and after a long wait at the luggage conveyor belt (I figured my luggage had finally been lost, but alas, it arrived. Winner)… we walked through the gate to be greeted by our delighted parents.

The journey commenced when we checked in at the Emirates Check-in Counter at Brisbane International airport. Bags were under weight and we proceeded to the departure lounge. We boarded around 2:00am and the wheels of the plane lifted at 2:40am. We were on our way to Dubai with a quick stop over in Singapore.

We landed in Dubai at around 12:40pm and proceeded through Passport ...
