    ... Bob (of course!).

Our final dinner, despite really enjoying the dishes in Piemonte, we were ready for a break. So Lorenzo suggested a Napoleon style pizza place. After grabbing a bottle of wine & pastries for dessert afterward while strolling through Alba center, it was time for pizza! It was apparent that the people here only spoke Italian - and the menu was entirely in Italian. First time we had been to a ...

... amongst the squares of grape vines, like a green patchwork quilt. The views were just so gorgeous,
Everywhere we looked was dotted with little villages, each with their own castle and churches ( or five !! ) Our appt was on the first floor of Via San Michele, named after the baroque church at the top of the via. ... we found this amazing local Pizza place, it one that the locals use, so there was no English going on at all. But we got 2 medium Pizza's for euros 7, can't moan about that, and we couldn't even eat it all.

The following morning we had arranged to see the The Shroud of Turin, due to circumstances this did not happen, but we went off to our next destination, Capena Rome.

    ... do the next day.

My last day in Italy was a good one, I started off the morning by grabbing some breakfast at the hostel. Then I went to the Museum of the Shroud of Turin. This is an awesome museum because for around 5 Euros you get your own personal audio device in your own language that takes you through the history of the Shroud. Heads up-the original isn’t housed here but there are several very good replicas that you can ...
