    ... scored and the noise inside the place was insane!! Just after that Messi probably should have been sent off for a clear as day headbutt but managed to escape with just a yellow card somehow.. The game ended 3-0 and it was time to head out of there as we were heading south about 1.5 hours to our next site in Torremdembarra. We got out of the car park without any issues and traffic was fine so arrived at our site at about 2am... They don't let you in after ...

    As the girls had been very patient during the preceding day's long afternoon visiting with the Pahi brothers, we promised them a more exciting day. That would, however, require a lot of time in the car. Plus, as I wrote, the roads in this area are incredibly windy with constantly shifting widths and rarely any shoulders.     ... Scotland attempted late last year. Every local we encountered in the area, literally, was talking about the vote, and we learned that the prevalence of Catalan flags everywhere was tied to an organized "get-out-the-vote" effort. I found it all fascinating.

    ... One of them came over and, with Jeff, the two of them acted as guides as I somehow managed to do a three=point (actually, more like a 12-point) turn, and get the van turned around. I only had a few inches on either side, with a brick ledge at both ends. Again, it would have really helped to have had a manual transmission, but in the end I managed to get turned around and then made the drive back down the hill VERY slowly, and parked in the church square. ...

    ... since we have been assigning characters. The Sat Nav is Dougal, as he gets grumpy when we go a different way to what he has shown us and sometimes says odd things. He's Spanish so we are getting lots of practise on directions.
    Jo has chosen Dylan on the basis that she's been so laid back on occasions we've gone the wrong way. She was certain that she was not going to be Ermintrude!
