    ... to read a lot more, make food other than chicken and vegetables, continue writing, and start running more so I'll have a much better time when I run my half-marathon in October. And make friends. There's a bar by my house that actually has a running club, so when you finish running, you end at the bar and get a drink with (hopefully) new friends. Win win!?     ... We then met a girl that one of the girls I was with had meet in the Academia. She was 19 and was spending her semester off before going to university backpacking Europe. She had participated in a student exchange program where she studied in Michigan. We had lunch with her as she told us her stories of her travels.     We travelled through Laguna, which has amongst one of the largest fishing businesses in the world. Rimini was full of sugar beet and corn. Ravena had Rice and Sunflower fields by the hundreds of acres and at times they seemed never ending. The land was very flat and our first rest stop was at 11.00am. In this area there was a lot of Tobacco being grown for export.

    ... the whole time so we hardly the hardly noticed the tedium. We had a slight setback for our first full day in Florence today, as Katie was feeling a bit under the weather. After resting up for a bit, we had an authentic marguerita pizza for lunch (tomato, basil, and mozzarella with the best thin crust in the world).
