... it was pouring rain. How appropriate! I also had heartburn from the Cepacol lozenges. Believe me, I felt and looked a horrible mess. Back to bed.

In the morning Michael said I was confined to bed and he was going to make a pot of soup for me, if I could tell him how. hahaha No way was I going to stay in bed with no source of entertainment. I am now on one of the couches, moaning and generally feeling sorry for myself and wondering how I can blame all of ...

I told you I received a note under the door requesting access to clean the cottage for Fri. The lady, Vickie, asked me to call or text her. We have a cell phone we bought in Portugal, but we can't get it to work here, despite buying time and and a SIM card. The local restaurants don't do one at this time of the year, but a lady in the pub suggested The King's Arms in Georgeham, which is just one village over. I am slowly eating my way through every British dessert I can think of.

... other drivers pulling behind the parked cars and taking turns progressing down a street. It's ridiculous and if it were home, their cars would be ticketed and towed. That is exactly what should happen here. I have photos of that, too.

We had spaghetti for dinner tonight and sorry but I have another complaint. The pasta here is disgusting. Whole wheat pasta cannot be found, only white ...

... noodle soup was exactly what was needed. We stoppped in several stores looking for such a thing, but no dice. All we could find was cream of chicken in every one of them. We even tried 3 restaurants, thinking that we could get some take-out. The offerings were toe-MAA-toe and curried parsnip. (I couldn't even imagine that) When I get something in my head like that, I can't shake it so I decided that today would be a cooking afternoon. I made a pot of chicken noodle soup and ...
