We've stopped for the night but I'm still rocking with the motion of the train.... Left Virginia and headed north....passed Baltimore, Philadelphia, NYC...and made it all the way to Connecticut. What a day: Florida to CT ( Palm trees to snow) in 25 hours - ...

... bedrooms billiards room, dining room the size of my house, etc. Get the idea! Almost impossible to describe, an amazing sight to behold.

A lovely drive to Cape Cod and Hyannis. We drove around the suburbs and streets and ended up at the beach for a fabulous sunset. The scenery was quintessential Cape Cod. Beautiful.

Dinner at a lovely local restaurant......and a load of washing! A great few days.

... the bathroom door. I wondered how a person in a wheelchair would deal with that. There was a small shelf behind the sink and I wondered if a person in a wheel chair would be able to reach it. And the tub was well equipped with bars, but I wondered if a shower stall with a bench would not have been more practical. The whole experience made me very grateful for my abilities and more aware of what a struggle life must be for those with visual or mobility issues.

... and jumped into Odie for the final 4 hour push back to Connecticut and Tim's Mom, Gramma Saylor (or as the kids now call her - Granny Gramma). It was on this final leg back towards where the great - around the USA road trip had begun on the 8th of May, that we realised today was exactly 100 days since we had left!!!!! ... like folding chairs for the tent, a tablecloth for our table, citronella candles, cutlery, mugs and cups, etc....
However, by far the most exciting additions were in and on the car itself.
We put on our New Zealand bumper sticker!
I attached to the dashboard a three pronged cigarette lighter console, one for recharging phones and computer, one for a radio transmitter to play our music through ...
