... stopped to watch the dancing fountains to the song 'Big Spender' which was very playful. On our way out, at 7:30 we stopped to watch the display as it was close to dusk. This one was more classical and classy and incorporating lighting. Phenomenal what they can do.
We walked through the Paris Hotel to get back to the monorail behind there to go back to the hotel by about 8:30.
In total today we walked over 11.5 kilometres. Not bad in the heat.
... with little kids and some in strollers and others walking around like it's the middle of the day - and in the casinos too. Into Walgreens and we got some cereal and milk for breakfast, and John got some Jim Bean for medicinal purposes, and we eventually made it home by 1 am. John took some cold tablets, so we hope they make him feel better overnight. What a place Las Vegas is! Unbelievable doesn't even begin to describe ...

It also happens to be on the on the tourist route and as we arrived so did 5 coaches of various nationalities doing the USA, but it was a delightful stop off for a coffee and photos opp. We continued on to Hackberry where we were joined by about a dozen Harley Davidsons and their owners, an amazing sight along the Route, bike after bike in convoy, the way to do it. Hackberry General Store and Museum is a re-creation of a 1950s-style soda ...
... but somehow we arrived unscathed! This Monte Carlo Resort & Casino is huge, and the queue to check in was quite long, but while we waited we had a nice chat with a couple from Chicago. Our room is on the twenty-second floor overlooking the pool area, and it had one of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept on. We literally had to drop our bags in the room and hit the Strip, as we had to get to Planet Hollywood to pick up our tickets for the Meat ...
... is all the majestic and diverse architecture ... then, the people...crowds and crowds of people. It didn't seem to matter that the temperature was in the high 90's ... after all, a vacation is a vacation and nothing seems to stop them.
