    On the road home

A travel blog entry by dkauten on Feb 15, 2015

Picked up the car at our friends, the Meadors. Hitting the road for Atlanta. Wow, it's been a whirlwind expedition! Feels like we've been gone for months. Can't believe how much we've seen and all the places that we've been in the last 26 days. I will certainly view so many of the places we've visited with a different set of eyes and opinions ...

We opted for a route that was a combination of 75 and 85 and headed south. We were happy that we drove around Atlanta on ...

... home, and a nap in my own bed.

I'm sure everyone is tired of these updates, but I will send some final thoughts and photos on my last one later today. I have met some incredible people from all over the world, made great friends from Holland, Peru and Brazil, and had an indescribable experience. Even all of the photographs in the collection will never do it justice. You just....."had to be there".....

    Be home soon!

    Pass And Go

A travel blog entry by burtonll on Feb 03, 2013

... attraction began the day a circus came to town. It was March 1889, and a traveling show headed for Marietta stalled due to cash flow problems. The animals were left in their cages by defecting employees and began to draw curious onlookers. Businessman George Valentine Gress (1847-1934) took pity and purchased the animals – a jaguar, hyena, black bear, raccoon, elk, gazelle, Mexican hog, and a few lionesses, pumas, camels ...
