Arriving to Madrid

A travel blog entry by mirideus

I just arrived to Madrid after a loooooong flight.  I got to the airport, got on the metro and walked to the hotel from the station.  It's a nice hotel (it has a bed and that's all I need now).  I took a nap and got in the shower.  My parents and the kids arrived, it's good to see them.  We went out for a walk and went to the Reina Sofia Museum of …

... I could have taken photos but I couldn't. He must have been tripping or mad when he painted because he painted some weird stuff but at the same time very provocative and beautiful. Think I will try to read more about him. Interesting genius.

Having never been on a segway as well as Ashley my counterpart on the tour who is from South Africa ( and as potentially sold me even more on doing phd there). We learned from Nico our tour guide ( who is ...

A travel blog entry by megs-anoop

... up a scoop of olives with orange and another mildly spicy batch to take home. We then continued our snacking tour by stopping off at a bar known for its calamari (deep fried this time!). We ordered a plate to share and Keith & Anoop got a small beer to go with it. They were really fresh and made right in front of us! We continued on our walking tour and ended up back in the square where we had been the previous morning. There was no stamp or coin market ...
