Today was the BIG DAY and the reason we came to NYC. Our U2 concert at Madison Square Gardens! But we had to get thru the day first...first up...you guessed it, another walking tour!
This was the Brooklyn Bridge DUMBO (down under Manhattan Bridge overpass) tour by inside out tours. http://insideouttours.com/wordpress/bro oklyn-bridge-and-dumbo-3/ Another use of our NY Pass. The tour started out at the Tweed ...
... to 5th Avenue to explore the American Girl store which sells dolls personalised to look like their owner. The 3 story store was incredible - boasting a hair salon for the dolls, a hospital and cafe. It sold matching clothes for girls and their dolls, and was crazy in a whole lot of levels. Alex, predictably loved it and bought a few pieces for her doll at home.

Then it was of on our cruise around the Hudson and to see the Statue of Liberty! It was massive! And meant we had ...
... it wasn't as physical as I was expecting it to be from the movies but there is a lot of pushing and shoving in an attempt to keep the girl with the star on her helmet from lapping the track. The track in this case being an NCAA feel basketball court in the City University of New York. Basketball aficionados - all was well with the court, it was protected by thick rubber matting! Something a bit different to do when in New York.
