Today was always going to be a non-event; we had to drive 200+ miles from Henrietta/Rochester to Albany/Troy. The drive on the I90 gave me the chance to fiddle with all the new knobs, dials and levers, but opening the boot, sorry trunk, was beyond me for quite a while. Made lunch in our room and had our very nice muffins for afters. Then Wes had a rest while I went to the exercise room. For the first time on our trip inclination and equipment came together. Booked into another Comfort Inn outside Albany. We are now considered to be "preferred members" as we have stayed with them quite a few times. This hotel is quite fancy looking from the outside and has banquet rooms. Had Italian for dinner at a nearby restaurant. We have decided to spend 2 nights here to have a bit of a rest day tomorrow and we have spent a few hours researching where to stay in New York City. Still none the wiser.
When planning our trip to see the fall colors that included a trip to New York City, we discovered that the location where Woodstock was held was close.
