    Next, we are headed for a campground in the beautiful, serene farming country of New Jersey just outside of Philadelphia. This will be the perfect peaceful and tranquil venue to plan a couple of day trips into Philly in order to visit with our daughter Kelsey and her husband Chris.

    ... cracking thunderstorm going. the next day Liz had to go into NYC for a deposition she was part of and Chris took us 2 hours north of NY to North Fork, very picturesque wine country. tried a couple of wines, had Taco Bell for lunch (surprisingly good), checked out a factory outlet area that was enormous and got home about 7:30. Ate the last of the wings from the cookout for dinner and watched a movie together ...

    ... scenes in the car park - tailgating- where they had full on fires burning and BBQ's hard at work cooking burgers and I'm sure many beers were consumed. Some of the 'camps' had Christmas trees and of course they were all in full supporters paraphernalia.

    I wanted to tell you about our hotel. The Element Hotel, West 39th Street. I think it only opened last year. As I mentioned before, we are on the top floor, the 40th, and we have a fantastic view of the city looking towards Lower Manhattan [ where the Twin Towers were ]. It is quite close to the famous Times Square, and not too far from many other New York features.

    The Element is environmentally GREEN, it advertises. The rooms ...
