cookhouse, and then collapsed at home. Our sleeping schedules are way off and

We quickly closed up the windows and the vents (even though the vents are covered, we could still feel rain blowing in) and hung out with Griffin for awhile since he was completely freaked out by the thunder and lightning. Finally got back to sleep around 5:30a, but since we were parked next to the semi-truck weigh station, we weren’t able to fall back into deep sleep the rest of the night.

The bathroom was pretty, the TV was big and flat, the bed had lots of pillows, and the view was wonderful. Now this was what I was talking about. ... money, or creativity to come up with one- but next year! There's lots and lost of vendors selling authentic renaissance merchandise, but the best part, to me- is all of the entertainers. Jugglers, drinking song singers, wenches, mud wrestlers, bag pipers, jousters...and the list goes on! We left with henna tattoos, a jar of honey, and great big smiles on our faces!

... time to unwind. My shoulders and arms were a bit sore today after all the paddling. We had goulash for supper and had devotions from Todd and got camp prepared for a potential coming storm. Hopefully we will not be starting out in the rain tomorrow. Tonight Brian’s son Jake joined us again for the remainder of the trip. Everyone is thankful that this stretch is behind us and is looking forward to a pretty normal day ...
