... pretty quickly.
It was a pretty uneventful day; traveling through Ohio and Indiana isn’t too exciting. We stopped in Effingham, IL, which is about 100 miles east of St. Louis. We were able to get a “buddy site” at this campground and had a great dinner; BLTs and corn on the cob.
Mike is suffering with a bad back, probably a pinched nerve. We are hoping that a heat pad, some Advil and a good night’s sleep will remedy ...
... Marvin also told us in the last couple of years he has had two brain tumours and has been to hospital and had them removed. He said that he did not have medical insurance and the bill for the first one was $200k. He said that he paid east he could and that the community came up with the remaining money. That's just amazing. When we returned to his home he explained that he and his wife lived in the grandparents house - an annex to another ...
Happy birthday to my love and my favorite clown, John! We celebrated after the show with wine, junk food, and four episodes of "Girls". A very lovely day which would have only been lovelier if we could have spent it with friends and family back home. But everyone sent John wonderful birthday greetings throughout the entire day, so I know we weren't far from people's thoughts. :)

Another drive and we arrive at Clifford's home where his wife (name slips my memory) cooked up a beautiful meal including home baked bread and a chocolate cream pie to die for.
Time to head back to the hotel for a cuppa and a bit of shut eye.

Off to the Frank Lloyd Wright home in Oak Park (a suburb of Chicago)....he's a famous Chicago architect. A very interesting house to visit. His style was to create a room within a room and to blend the building with nature using panoramic windows to give the feel of nature flowing into the building. Then it was just a short walk to Weeks Ringles Modern ...
