Money and other constraints mean I can't go further south but the original plan was to cross into Mauritania, Senegal, Mali and to a fascinatingly post (hopefully!) ebolared Liberia.

Unusually for me I'm quite apprehensive. Maybe it's because it's a longer journey or perhaps I, like my big yellow friend at home who is now the proud dad to a litter of Lurcher pups have grown up.

It raining and almost blizzard conditions when we arrive and very difficult to find accommodation, Eventually we get some and then rooms had to change because wifi wouldn't work, Enjoyed some nice fish and chips int he new ...

... our specs have arrived so we can collect them on Monday. Jim and I then had a meeting to discuss our onwards itinerary. As we want to be in Nottingham on July 14th Jim suggested we go north into Scotland until then and leave our visit to Ireland until after that date so we can spend longer there, probably until mid September. All for now, we are going to drive into Seahouses and see if we can post this blog and get online to send emails.

... 12 miles away. We opt for the one in Allendale knowing it will be very small. The meeting house is big, built in the 18th century and rebuilt in the 19th. There is a cottage next door they let out and an old graveyard. We join 4 other people for worship. One extends an invitation to drop by this week if we get bored on a rainy afternoon. We have good internet so will take advantage of it today while it ...
