... we asked the guide and driver if it would be possible to stop for food somewhere on the way back. Shortly after, they pulled up at a local warung in a small village where we had THE best nasi goreng (fried rice) that we have had so far. It was super cheap too, so we were chuffed. After getting back at the homestay we sat around in the living room having good chats with Nils and another guy from the Netherlands, before he had to go to sleep and prepare for his 12am hike. The best snorkeling I believe we have ever done - sorry Thailand. Christine and Caleb were able to get a sense of what true scuba diving is really like. We had a snorkel guide and a boat with driver all to ourselves today - low season. It takes about 40 minutes by boat to reach the National Park. Eddie was our guide, a young guy who is working on getting further certifications on the scuba front. He is ...

... assured that all we had to do was follow the road down and then follow the white stones. We thought that the darkness would be our biggest hurdle and we thought to overcome that with a handy flashlight! However once we reached the “sea” we found that we had bigger problems; it was incredibly foggy! We soon lost track of the so called white stones we had to follow so we had to try and walk in the general direction of the volcano. Easier ...

... once in Bali was an experience in itself. We finally arrived at the hotel in Ubud, tired, hungry and aching all over. The hotel was simply stunning, right near the monkey forest and they decorated our room for us in fresh flowers. As night approached, we ate and were ready to get a good nights sleep. I can honestly say I went to sleep with a big smile on my face and with some beautiful memories to think about. Time to unwind..........
