New Year's Eve, we watch from the beach of the villa, hours of fireworks for twenty miles up the coast, a Balinese people who have spent much of their hard-earned rupiah, to welcome in a new year of hope for prosperity.

It quickly becomes apparent as Westerners that there is little we can do to help out ...

I discovered that the Hindus eat pork, I love the Hindus its been to long without lovely pork but I talk enough about my love for bacon in England. I love bacon. We used trip advisor to find a good dive company and booked a dive for tomorrow. We lounged on the beach and I went snorkelling in the coral just off shore which is in really good condition and was of course really beautiful. We also did a practise dive in the pool as we have to ...

... guide who was mostly there to make sure we all stayed together and got back on the right boat. We were only in a few metres of water so you could see right to the bottom without diving down. The corals were spectacular and much more impressive than in Pemuteran. There were lots of different types, sizes and colours with fish darting in and around them. The fish were also incredible with more variety. We swam for just under an hour, ...
