      ... seven different modes of transport … taxi – local bus – local guy’s van – bangka – hike – bangka - motor-tricycle – jeepney – bus – taxi. Wow, what a day!!! After something to eat, it was an early night for all … cream crackered.

      We were up at 4.30am the next morning to find a taxi to get to the airport. We were off to Cebu on another mini epic ...

      ... will email him with information so that they don't get too excited before realising the tasks involved. They reckon that they get 2/3 disaster a year in the Philippines.
      Also attending as invited guests were two people from a local group that co0ordiantes activity for about 50 NGOs
      The meeting ended with a song US style for which one of the visitors was invited to lead with the microphone!

      We wandered around to catch the bus through to Battangas where we would board the ferry to Puerto Galera or, more correctly, Sabang which is just down the road. We were pretty happy we had gotten our tickets when we did as the bus was full.
