We arrived in Suzhou under half hour and were immediately enveloped in a smog of dust and smell of chemicals. Coming out of the train station I felt the air was filled with heavy smoke. Vicky, our guide, said that for all its ancient beauty, the town is also an industrial center with several manufacturing factories emitting toxic waste in the environment.

Cette petite ville vaut vraiment le coup de faire l'effort de prendre le bus pour la visiter. C'est parfois un peu la galère de demander sa route en chinois mais contrairement aux dires les chinois sont assez serviables.
