[Arrival from Ferry]
After a night with more than just a fiew hours of sleep on the ferry from Greece, I arrived early in the morning around 7:00am scared facing the heavily industrialized City of Brindisi! The first sight of Italy was not the most charming - hopefully to be changed soon. Therefore, after arrival and one of the quickest Immigragtion check (1 Minute), immediate departure on motorbike to explore more charming places.

This is where Pietro, an old Italian guy, jumped into Bruce and navigated us to the trulli. He saved us from a traffic jam in the narrow streets of Puglia.
Pete was also called Pietro while in Italy. :-)
Trullo comes from the Greek word, "tholos" – meaning “dome”. See the pictures of the wee houses.
We found the Belvedere pub here too - also the name of our local in Aus – meaning “beautiful view”. It was beautiful.
... entire time. We kept getting tickled, and finally Dennis got up, and located another compartment for us.
There is nothing more relaxing to me than to sit back and watch the world go by, on the train.
We arrived in Brindisi in just enough time to purchase and board our ferry. The room on the boat was small, but comfortable. We would arrive in Corfu the next morning.

Brindisi, Puglia, Italy pandajax365... we figured heŽd unlikely be going anywhere, so we could still see him if we came here another time!
We drove down the coast, stopping instead at a tiny little village by the sea, with a stall by the water selling fresh mussels. We bought a couple of kilos and cooked up chilli mussels overlooking the water watching the sun set. Another of our great spots!
Slightly inland were the villages of the ...
... off the the rugby village on Friday around 7pm with kick off being at 9pm. The game was the worst I have ever seen England play and that is all I am saying on the matter! Saturday I was up and off to Bordeaux while Sarah stayed in Paris. A very pleasant 3 hour journey and my hotel was reasonably central to the town and the stadium. I wandered into town for dinner around 5ish and met up with ...
Brindisi, Italy ronnied... exact tone of voice I would use if I wanted the person I was talking to to die. "No. You must provide your own girls!" He gestured behind us. We turned around. There were four girls sat down, rummaging through bags. "There you are!" he declared brightly. "Girls!" "Yes they are", I said quietly, hoping they were foreign and wouldn't think we had started that whole embarrassing conversation. Which, of course, we had. Anyway, he was 'kind' enough to ...
Brindisi, Italy foolsgold... of strong coffee and slices of cake (!) and warm biscuits with cherries. We all gradually assemble discuss the events of the day, We are taken a tour of the fields and the house. Then we are driven to the local beach. There is not much to see and as the local council has not started to clear the beach of all the plastic and debris from the winter it is a tad bedraggled. The sun is very hot but a cooling breeze off the see is most welcome. After staying there about 2/3 hours we are ...
