Gallopili was an island fortress, with only a bridge link to the mainland. The castle was currently not open. However, we enjoyed walking around the walls, hanging onto hat and sunglasses so as not to have them blown away, retreating to the narrow streets when we needed a breather.

Tonight we stopped in on a lovely ristorante courtyard where locals (including us) drank some wine, had some aperitivi and listened to a band playing Beatles songs.
