Went to Italia to see Carlo .he lives in the Salento Area , the Heel side of the Adriatic See and I really liked the area a lot being there about 30 years ago, where the same house I looked at then is still sitting on a cliff about 8o feet above the Water and the house still not finished only the Walls and roof is done, and nobody knows anything about it.

Farewell Italia
Our 80 days in Italy have been so happy and it has been such a wrench to leave our beautiful friends. Sal and Rog have made this journey possible for us and we have loved every minute of it. We have laughed our way through the whole journey. We are now on an Alitalia flight to Roma then on to Bodrum via Istanbul. Wine - start to almost finish
We returned from Lecce on 7 Sept and spent the weekend preparing for our upcoming journey on 11 September as Monday was the day for picking the grapes and making the wine. We were up and at it by 7.30 at the first property riding there on the back of the Piaggo - a small three wheeled ute - together with buckets and tubs. The long lunch
... We are amazed by the number of courses consumed here - we are just so used to one dinner. But it was a joy and it ended up in a ten hour lunch - I like a long lunch. But as the evening progressed so did the intrigue, conversation, repartee, music, dancing, drinking and ended with a few surprising relevations - our secret.
