Usually all the animals are allowed to roam the farm, however for our visit a number were penned in the barn so that we coul dget up close and personal. Piglets are always endearing whether penned or free range and they gained most peoples attention. They also breed goats to make their owwn cheese, rabbts and ....

... to talk with two German girls who were cycling from opposite direction. They mentioned that, up ahead, the dyke was closed off to traffic and they had to take a detour. They said the mountainous terrain, in Bulgaria especially, was very tough. They commented on how friendly the people had been, especially in Romania. They are cycling as far as Vienna, then home to Stuttgart by train.
