    ... home, and yet it felt like home almost instantly. I can't express how thankful I am for having been brought along on this trip. Despite any hardships or stresses or miscommunications or disagreements along the way, it is by far the best experience of my life so far. The cathedral was lovely from the outside, and felt so out of context in China - it was definitely European style, and I found out that the building was funded by the French (Napoleon III), and that building was difficult because of the language barrier and the fact that none of the Chinese workers had seen Western-style buildings before.
